I agree with you. 6-6. 4-8. Either way, it's irrelevant. They have the most talent top-to-bottom in that garbage division. By accident, they should win it. The fact that they're not going to, that they're going to have a top 10 pick is a disgrace.

Good thing the NFL salary cap and competitive playing field has allowed the Browns, Lions, Raiders and Bengals to compete year after year.

OK, there's a real possibility I will swear off the Browns forever if they hire Cowher.

However, this is driving the 18th nail in the coffin.

Maybe they could get Michael Vick on work release?

The NFL salary cap and competitive playing field has given them every opportunity to compete year after year. They have failed miserably with nothing to blame but their own stupidity, exactly as it should be.

Coming from a Browns fan, I'll take that as a compliment. :)

Saw the Stu Scott/Steve Young/Emmitt Smith pregame show segment on Plaxico Burress. Even by his legendary standards, Emmitt was unintelligible. When does the WWL say that it's not working and buy out his contract?

Re the Chargers: Norv is not a good coach, but Knute Rockne couldn't make a team still riding the obviously through LT a winner. The Chargers are NOT talent laden. They are reputation laden.

Horrible general managers and/or horrible ownership.

Cards were in the same boat for virtually half-a-century. Just have to get your head out of your ass,
hire some people who have a clue about personnel, don't be unlucky in the draft, and be willing to
    spend all the rules allow.

Note the key word. Nobody ever said the opportunity would be handed to anyone.

Bad drafts, lousy ownership, being incredibly cheap (Bengals, line 1) and suspect coaching can get in the way.

That's cute. The last two posts said those teams don't win because they don't spend.
