I agree. That would be beautiful.

Under the quick-witted guidance of George Perles, Michigan State did it three times in one game once (two time outs and once on the 3rd/4th quarter break). In addition to half-a-dozen delay of game penalties.

Did Disney buy the Cowboys? Demi Lovato doing the national anthem, Jonas Brothers at halftime.

Jesse McCartney and the Jonas Brothers. Ya, that says football to me.

I pay no attention to halftimes or pregames.

Cowboys are up 14-0 and the turkey is digesting nicely.

I hate to be a poopypants about this every week, but this really is shit. The Lions are just not a professional outfit, and it isn't like the Titans are the '85 Bears, either. I have a library of old games to go to when I get exasperated enough. We are probably the same age. You can't say this is better. The kids have got to know how it used to be.

I agree that today's games, and I mean the games of Thursday, Nov. 27, suck. Detroit is the worst team I can remember watching in the 28 years I've been obsessed with the NFL. As for the game overall, I still love it. But there's too many teams. Rozelle's dream of parity has turned into a league where, yes, most teams are generally competitive, but none are truly great and the gap that does exist between the few legitimate haves and the few legitimate havenots is so distant as to be laughable.

I agree with your earlier assesment, too, about the offensivizing (ya, I made that word up) of the game. Watching Drew Brees light up a good Packers secondary is great for fantasy puproses, but it's terrible for generating interest in the game.

Worse than Creed's dancing fairies and sappy bitch music?

I liked the Jonas Brothers better before I actually heard them perform. Ugh.

One of the Jonas Brothers looks like the teen version of the kid that shared the role with Tom Hanks in BIG
