Never before has a team played on short rest against a team that didn’t? Except in the playoffs where some teams get byes.

And that’s why I didn’t say anything on social media... as that flashed into my mind that perhaps there was a stroke. Now I know.

May his journey with this awful condition bring the moments of joy (like broadcasting a game) to foster memories.

If the Steelers fan message board tonight is any indication, it should be entertaining. Y'all have no idea. Most of that board is convinced they won't win another game this season. They are some trouble with the injuries and I don't like their chances next Sunday against the Bills, but I'm a voice of calm over there.

Now try learning to read. It isn't just that one team had a short rest and the other didn't. It was that the situation was caused by the Baltimore game being moved so many times. Please, try harder to keep up next time.

That one didn't necessarily make a difference in terms of points on the scoreboard. The mistake before the half absolutely gave Washington three points in a close game.

I'm afraid to listen. I've been told he sounds terrible most of the time. Ilkin is a great guy. I hate to see him going through that.

Give it up. It’s a fucking football game not a conspiracy to subvert democracy. It’s a fucking National catastrophe, sport. Not some long running con game against The Steelers and God

so go out and buy some Monistat-3 and cure your yeast infection. You’re turning into a real nasty twat.

Just read a couple articles on Mr. Ilkin. He’s only two months into announcing the diagnosis so the decline hasn’t really hit.

I’m nine years into a friendship with an ALS patient here and we do stories on him every 2 years to show the progress of the disease. In 2012, he only had a shake in his leg. By 2014, fully wheelchair-bound but could talk, slowly.

Since 2016, he communicates with me through Facebook, blinking eyes to make letters. Imagine that.

My friend’s journey has about six months left as the lung capacity is approaching a minimal level. He has two kids - 12 and 10. Seven years ago, he recorded a bunch of sayings that he sends to his children. (Love you, good job, etc).

He has insisted that I be there when he dies. Camera rolling. He’s been open about ALS and he wants the world to see what this horrible condition does.

That is indeed good. May it be the first of many.
The college admissions process is a lot more competitive than it was a generation ago.
