Baron, I know Sepulveda got hurt, but this guy is a pro athlete. He has to know how to catch with his hands.

You think the receivers should know how to kick field goals?

The head of NFL officials said it should have been a penalty. The fact that the offensive player is on the way down is irrelevant. The ball carrier put his head down on both of the hits Harrison was flagged for in the Cleveland game.

You can't hit a defenseless player in the head. McClain did exactly that to Miller with no call, one of two awful missed calls by the officials tonight.

And no, I'm not crying conspiracy or any of that stupid shit. I'm saying what I have said for a few weeks now -- the NFL changed the way they want the rules enforced during the season and because of that the officials are not calling it consistently. The Steelers just happened to get the raw end of it tonight, but they overcame it nicely. With, of course, the help of a truly awful throw by Flacco.

Polamalu saved their asses again, with the help of one heck of a play by Redman.

Actually, I was downstairs watching and trying very hard to keep quiet so I wouldn't wake up my wife and kid. But thanks for thinking of me.

Now you are just showing your anti-fanboy hatred. What McClain did tonight was every bit as much of a "launch" as what Harrison did to Massaquoi. I'm not saying Harrison shouldn't have been penalized. I'm saying both were penalties.

It doesn't matter if the defender has time to stop or not. I'm sorry, but either you can't see past your own bias or you don't understand the rules.

Because Dave Wannstedt is a fucking idiot?

Do you know where Tyler Palko is today? I think he gave me my fries at Wendy's.

Palko was actually a very good college quarterback. He just didn't have the arm strength to make it in the NFL. Besides, how can you not like a guy who drops and F-Bomb on national TV after beating Notre Dame?

Where the hell was Kremer tonight? I think she only made one or two appearances. With all the injuries, you'd think a sideline reporter would be, I don't know, reporting.

The way they're trying to enforce the rules on hits like the Heath Miller one sounds a lot like the "responsibility for your stick" deal in hockey. Except, in the case of the NFL, your whole body is your "stick," which makes it way more tricky and complicated. When they show the slow-motion over and over, it can look more malicious and irresponsible than it actually is. But it's still a fine-able offense, based on the rules and the way they're trying to enforce them.

Sucks for LB's and DB's, who are trying to do everything that their DNA and coaching (and the NFL's own self-promotion) have told them to do.

Meh...We'll debate over the weekly Derek Stingley moment until a few guys drop dead on the field.

Except I understand the rules and you don't.
