I find Ryan a benign if comical figure. I wonder what will come next for the Jets? They would've lost if they'd played well, but they choked from the jump. It's not getting beat physically when the KICKER'S first play is a godawful shank. That's all mental. So was quitting cold in the second half.

I hope he keeps talking, forever and ever. I don't understand why showing personality in football is considered such a crime. We all cringe at what a boring dick Belichick is, and how Nick Saban never really has anything good to say. Rex is the only one who thinks he's not dealing with some sort of state secret every time he has to answer a question. Rex is great for the league.

I guess my irritation stems from his inability to actually think about what he says before he opens his mouth.

But that's what makes him great. That's what makes him the anti-Belichick/Saban.

    Or an idiot.

He's only great if you're a headline writer for one of the NY tabloids covering him.

Ask his players if they think he's an idiot. Yeah, he pops off at the mouth, but it's not like he's mean-spirited when he does it. He's supremely confident in his team. I'd want my coach to be, too.

Is it true the NY Times pulled Bill Rhoden's column from the internet -- the one where he wrote yesterday the Jets are on the rise and the Patriots are on the decline? Morning Joe can't find it online anymore.

Here's his columns list. As long as he writes the crap he does, the racists will have won.

First he has to beat somebody.

The league is more fun with him, but I would not lump him in with coaches who have post season success.

Who's lumping him in with coaches who have had postseason success?

I said he's the anti-Belichick/Saban in terms of personality. That's what makes him great (to follow and listen to). I didn't mean that's what makes him a great coach.

I was hoping the Jets could actually win the division, push the Patriots into the Wild Card and not have the road to Dallas run through New England, but that sure as shit does not look like it's happening.

I just hope the Patriots get Baltimore for their first playoff game. Kansas City might have a chance to beat New England as well.

The Steelers have the #2 seed right now. I really hope they do not screw that up because if I understand it correctly, if the playoffs follow the chalk, New England cannot play the #2 seed until the AFC Championship Game, and would most likely draw a Wild Card team as their first opponent in the playoffs. I am assuming the Baltimore beats whomever they draw in the first round and would face Brady.

Then call him the anti-Lovie Smith.

I would not even compare shirt sizes between Belichick and Ryan after last night.
