The only way they have a shot is to win out to get to 9-8. Not happening. Cross 'em off.

I always thought Mahomes was a decent dude, surrounded by an annoying, narcissistic spouse and POS sibling, and he managed to stay normal and above all the bullshit surrounding him.

Maybe it's just that he hid the fact that he's just as annoying and narcissistic and as big a POS as those around him?

    Fuck that guy.

Wasn't it just a few weeks ago that the narrative was that KC got ALL the calls because the NFL didn't want to alienate Taylor Swift fans? And really, you are a professional football player - seems pretty clear that NFL line judges place one of their feet "ON" the line of scrimmage - figure it out. Ask during summer camp when the officials visit. You should not have to "check" on every play. See the foot, take a half-step back - done.

I'm sure Jets fans are daring to dream today, but Wilson has had impressive moments before. They have always been followed by him going right back to sucking.

Late-season collapses not foreign to Steelers, coach Mike Tomlin

This is a good summary of the late-season collapses under Tomlin.

Until I hear it from Eaton the line judge, it's just that -- a report. An unverified report.

He sure as hell isn't going to admit it now if true.

I don't buy it, either. I posted it more as an indictment of the bullshit coming from the Chiefs.

It's not the official's responsibility before a play to tell a player whether his location -- or anything else -- conforms to the rules. Former ref John McDonough writing in "Don't Hit Him, He's Dead," states that when a player asked McDonough if the player was on the line, he would respond "I am on the line."

The Chiefs were also assuming that Allen could not have driven the Bills to a TD in the final 1:30 had the play stood. He certainly had led his share of game-winning drives.
