I'm down with a Super Bowl rematch.

    I'm not.

Manning v. Manning in New Orleans would be epic.

Manning v. whoever in the NFC works too.

The Niners hold on. Whew. Not real good for Harbaugh's heart.

    Cowboys-Saints next week.
    Eagles-Skins.
    Giants-Ravens.

Gotta favor the Skins in that scenario of teams that will probably win next week, for obvious reasons. I hate rooting for Philly, in fact I DETEST IT, but looks like that'll be the case next week.

There could be five NFC teams at 9-6 after next week, with one division and two wild-card spots open. We may be going deep into tiebreakers.

I've been on the never-count-out-the-Giants bandwagon for a while. But there is absolutely no way this incarnation makes it to the Super Bowl. No way.

I thought the same last year and then they beat the 49ers. Something clicks with the Giants if they get to January.

surely there's no way that Washington wins seven in a row?!?!?

We've seen over and over, New England being the latest case, how hard it is to sustain momentum for a long period of time because the talent level across the league is so even.

There's a team almost every year that wins more than seven in a row.

But not one's that start 3-6 and suddenly find the magic.

You just compared them to New England, and earlier in the thread you were talking about how Denver is trying to beat some kind of jinx by winning 11 in a row. So are you talking about the difficulty of winning a lot of games in a row or are you talking about the difficulty of going from bad to good within a season?

I'm saying how hard it is to put together a long winning streak: even 4 or 5 in a row, much less 7 or 11. Chances are you're going to have a week and screw up and lose one somewhere along the way.
