Still, that group would beat up the CFL like a narc at a biker rally.

How the hell do you forget the most obvious name of all? The guy who won the Heisman trophy that year, Mark Ingram, was of course also on that 09 Bama team.

Otherwise, nicely illustrated. I don't care if they were just college kids, hard to imagine any CFL team being able to compete with that kind of vastly superior talent.

    I liked this comment:

CFL Tebow would have some pretty predictable play-calling. Rush, rush, rush, rush...
So basically, a Canadian classic rock station.

I was going to ignore 93Devil's post, but now I have to jump in. That team never existed. It's a mess of guys from the 2008 team and the 2011 team, with a few from both.

Here's an accurate list from the 2009 team of players who have spent time with NFL rosters or are guaranteed to when they are done with school:

Offensive linemen: Mike Johnson, James Carpenter, William Vlachos, Alfred McCullough, Chance Warmack, Barrett Jones, D.J. Fluker
Running backs: Mark Ingram Jr., Trent Richardson, Eddie Lacy
Receivers: Julio Jones, Brad Smelley, Marquis Maze, Darius Hanks, Michael Williams
    Quarterbacks: Greg McElroy, AJ McCarron

Defensive linemen: Terrence Cody, Marcell Dareus, Brandon Deaderick, Josh Chapman, Damion Square
Linebackers: Rolando McClain, Dont'a Hightower, Courtney Upshaw, Jerrell Harris, Chavis Williams, Nico Johnson
Defensive backs: Javier Arenas, Mark Barron, Dre Kirkpatrick, Kareem Jackson, Robert Lester

If you put that roster, with the players as they are now, up against a CFL team, it would be a ridiculous rout. The only question would be, McCarron or McElroy?

Of course, most of the players still in school were redshirting or rarely used in 2009. Warmack, now Alabama's best player, played in five games as a freshman.

Tim Tebow is better than Henry Burris.

Edit: Went back a page and saw that several people beat me to it.

Are you sure he is in the Canadian game? Tebow still can't throw. The 2 games are so completely different and there have been plenty of college star QB's who have never been able to play in the CFL.

I am not for one minute arguing that Burris could ever play down there or that any CFL team could come within 50 of an NFL team but I really don't beleive Tebow can throw accurately enough to play up here.

Henry Burris couldn't throw either when he had to find NFL lines of sight and fit it into NFL windows. He was literally the worst throwing NFL quarterback I'd ever seen in terms of accuracy.

And Rick's a Bears fan, so that's saying something.

    True to that.

Least accurate QBs of my Bears fandom lifetime, to my memory:

    1) Henry Burris
    2) Chad Hutchinson
    3) Moses Moreno

I'd take any of them over JaMarcus Russell in the Dr Pepper $1 Million contest.

I'd take JaMarcus as the long as his Sizzurp intake is less than three. Three or more Purple Dranks and all bets are off.
