NFL Week 16 -- Football overload

    One of my earliest NFL memories is watching the 1964 Cleveland-Baltimore championship game, then going outside to play catch with my brother, pretending I was Gary Collins. It was a Sunday; Buffalo had beaten San Diego on Saturday to win the AFL title.

    So by Dec. 27, 1964, the NFL and AFL seasons were over. Now we still have three weeks of the regular season left, and a month+ of playoffs to follow.

    Yeah, until the Super Bowl, the NFL season ended before the college season did with the New Year's Bowls.

    Because? He’s an about as decent a person as you could hope for in a pro football owner. Unless you are a Falcons fan, why is it any skin off your nose if he runs the joint like Mr. Carlson at WKRP?
