A part of me hoping the Chargers rally back to beat Kansas City, largely to prove a point.

Andy Reid has no business managing a game when he has a lead. Up 12 in the fourth quarter, he insists on throwing the ball. The resulting incompletions extend the game and now they're in line for a Rivers comeback and a stomach punch loss.

My favorite part of that story is that the team reportedly had to send security over to Manziel's place to wake him up when he didn't show up for a meeting.

KC defense comes up huge again.

Redskins are officially the Raiders-East? Or are the Raiders the Redskins-West?

Chase Daniel, asked about Justin Houston in his on-field postgame interview: "He's a better player than he is a person."

    I'm sure that's true.

Stop the presses. Ryan Lindley has finally thrown a touchdown pass.

Channelling Bill Simmons here, but how many people in this country are fired up to have a chance to bet against Ryan Lindley in a road playoff game next week?

Uh-oh. Rodgers stays down for a long time after a TD pass, grabbing his calf, and walks off with help.

They're up 14-0, they might go to Flynn and try to squeeze out the first-round bye that way.

They now absolutely have to win to get the bye and I'm pretty sure he won't even be ready in two weeks.

Week 17 can be a fascinating time:
    • By beating New England's scrubs, the Bills won in Gillette Stadium for the first time ever (had been 0-12), snapped the Patriots' 16-game home winning streak and their 35-game home winning streak against AFC teams.
    • The Chiefs had a touchdown to a wide receiver negated by replay and then a fumble. So the Chiefs are the first team since the 1964 Giants to go an entire season without a wide receiver catching a touchdown pass. The 1960 Redskins and 1950 Steelers, who didn't have wide receivers (they had ends) also did it.
    • Miami's Lamar Miller had a 97-yard touchdown run, which is the third longest in NFL history (Dorsett's 99-yarder and a 98-yarder by Green Bay's Ahman Green in 2003 are the only ones longer.
    • Geno Smith had a perfect quarterback rating.
    • The Eagles scored their seventh special teams touchdown of the season.
    • The Cowboys won a regular-season finale for the first time since 2010, and only the second time since 2000.

Rodgers is back, but if I'm the Lions I'm expecting him to hand it off a lot.
