Good call by the league office. I'm sure he is at least attempting to claim it was an accident, but there is no way that can be trusted, especially given his history.

Pereira was trying to sell some bunk that the act wasn't intentional.

Might be able to buy the unintentional argument if it was someone else, but not a player with Suh's track record and dirty reputation. That dude long ago surrendered his right to the benefit of the doubt with these things.

Thus ends Suh's Detroit career. Next stop, New York.

I wouldn't buy the unintentional argument from anyone. The natural reaction for anyone (at least anyone normal, which means you don't include Suh) is to immediately pick up your foot when you think you're stepping on something or someone.

How fitting is it that the Lions lose key players to suspensions for thuggery in their two biggest games in years?

NFC version: Nobody wants any part of the Seahawks in the playoffs.
Since getting everyone back healthy, the Seahawk defense has looked much like last year. I believe I heard last night they have allowed 6.5 ppg in the last six games and allowed no TDs in four of those games, including yesterday when a perfectly timed swat prevented a St. Louis TD.

Agreed. As wide open as these playoffs appear to be, Seattle is looking like they could definitely ride their defense to a repeat.

There is a lot more reason to want no part of the Seahawks than there is to want to avoid the Ravens.

Not quite the same, they're the 1 seed and defending champs.
