Someone please explain the Rodgers to Pittsburgh infatuation that Florio supposedly put out….

I imagine chemically enhanced thinking was involved. The only Pittsburgh connection I know of with Rodgers is that his personal media flunkie, Pat McAfee, is from there.

I can say that as a Steelers fan, I hate the idea.

According to the sports reference database, this is the biggest spread in four years. Before that one, a 20-point margin covered by the Chiefs on 11/1/2020, there were two spreads of ≥20 on the same day, 9/22/2019. And before those, you have to go back six more years to find somebody favored by ≥20.

I remember the 2019 games well, since you always remember your brutal bad beats well. Cowboys -22 vs. the Dolphins and Patriots -20.5 vs. the Jets. I did a two-teamer for the hell of it because the Dolphins and Jets were so bad at the time.
Cowboys struggled to get over the spread, but pulled away in the second half and won 31-6.
The Patriots-Jets game made me forever curse Jarrett Stidham's name.

The game was going like you'd expect. This was the brief Luke Falk era for the Jets, and they had 105 total yards and six first downs for the game. The Pats were ahead 30-0 in the third quarter.
Then Julian Edelman fumbled a punt at the 10-yard line, and the Jets picked it up and ran it in for a touchdown. Then Belichick pulled the starters in the fourth quarter. I think it was Stidham's second pass, he threw a lazy out route that got picked off and returned for a touchdown.
Brady comes back in the game, the Pats hand off to grind down the clock with no intention of scoring again, and win 30-14. Fucking Jets covered without scoring an offensive touchdown and maybe not even crossing midfield.
Fuck Jarrett Stidham with a rusty tent spike.

The 2013 game was the Manning-era Broncos favored by 26.5 (IIRC it was as high as 28 during the week) over a dreadful Jaguars team.
Broncos won 35-19 in a pretty competitive game.

I don't know if he can play anymore, but I do think the only team that has a question mark as a starter for next year, AND a coach who Rodgers wouldn't screw around with - is the Steelers.

If multiple teams in a division finish with the same record, does the NFL recognize them all as division champions even though only one is guaranteed a playoff spot? Or is the designation of division champion only accorded to the team that wins the tiebreakers?

I would much rather see them keep Wilson or even Fields as the starter for next season and I’m not even a big fan of either guy.

I don’t think Rodgers has much left in the tank. Also, he is an insufferable asshole.

Dan Orlovsky just called the Ravens a historic franchise. Mute button it is.
