    Fair enough.

    What a game, though.

The atrocious call was by Ed the superhuman referee when he whistled the play dead when Cutler fumbled on a pass attempt. Idiot.

That Brandon Marshall is sicknasty. That was a great game. I didn't care who won because I don't like either team, but that was entertaining. Although the Chargers did get screwed with the bad fumble call at the end. I think it was actually better for the Chargers that LT got hurt because Sproles tore the Denver defense up.

Hey, who wants to be the New York Jets next Monday evening.

Your opponent lost in one of the most mind-blowing ways possible and, at 0-2, will come out blazing in an effort to salvage a possible Super Bowl season.

Yup, it'll be ugly in San Diego next Monday night.

    You seriously overestimate the Chargers.

But I'll be there, so I'll report back. ;)

My friend, I'm not overestimating the Chargers. I'm a Jets fan. I know what's about to happen. I've seen the skull fucking too many times to count.

As a Broncos fan, I'll fully admit that they should not have won that game.

But Shanahan had major guts to go for two and Marshall and Royal look like the real deal. Along with Scheffler and an improving Cutler, this passing attack could be one of the league's best by the end of the season.

    That defense, though.... Eek.

I give much credit to Shanahan in going for two, but in truth, the conversion wasn't as much of a crapshoot as it would be under typical circumstances: With all the time Cutler had been getting and the regularity of the short completions, it was pretty much a lock the Broncos would convert.

and yes, the Chargers got screwed on that call, but it was just like last week: They were able to keep the opposition out of the end zone for an extended amount of time (for the entire second half in today's case), but when they need to make the game-clinching stop they can't seal the deal. I think they're really missing Merriman because they had absolutely no pass rush from what I've seen today, which makes we worry about Brett and the Jets coming to town next week.

Also: I may have missed it because I've only seen the last two pages of this thread, but I heard the Chargers tried to challenge an earlier call on a Chambers fumble that might have been overturned, but the replay equipment was on the fritz. Can anyone confirm?

If the NFL merged Kansas City, Detroit and Cincinnati, they still couldn't beat USC.
