Seriously, what the hell? Down on the goal line, the Jets don't have Franks or Chris Baker or 2008 first round pick Dustin Keller try to get open in the end zone? What did Simms say repeatedly yesterday? That the Pats told he and Nantz that they knew the Jets offense inside and out?

Eric Mangini has one of the great quarterbacks in NFL history. Instead of opening up the offense, Mangini has Brett Favre run a conservative offense; as if Favre is noodle-armed Chad Pennington. The only reason the Jets didn't lose in Week One is that they were playing the Dolphins. What are they going to do next Monday night, against a team that has scored 62 points in its first two games?

Mangini's conservative play calling--offensively and defensively--cost the Jets.

The Lions suck. The Chiefs suck worse. It's all I have, but it's money.

On that we agree, though I do wonder what will happen once LeBeau finally retires.

He will live to 120 and coach until he is 115.

By brother, who lives in Northern California, said that radio stations there are reporting that Lane Kiffin will be fired today.

Thus checking off one of the miniscule number of NFL teams to have not hosted a playoff game in the past number of years.

    Baseball?

Thus making Lane Kiffin the happiest man in northern California.

Rob Ryan will get "promoted," evidently.

I hate to put it this way, but the Raiders will never be good as long as Al Davis is alive. Dude is absolutely killing his own franchise, and he can do it because he makes a shit-ton of money on merchandising.
Club is worth more than a billion dollars, and there's no reason to get a decent product on the field. I'm not saying Davis doesn't want to win. I'm just saying he has no clue how (just like he didn't realize his head coach wasn't alive back in the mid 60s).

Been saying all this for years.

The whole AFC West has long wanted Davis to die. Now raider fans agree.

I didn't read the story, but the KC Star used Davis as the national story focal point for it's football tabs.
