NFL Week 3 -- Winding your way down on Baker Street

The Steelers beat the Chargers up today, but injuries were a huge part of it. Bosa left the game early. Herbert and both tackles got hurt in the second half.

All that said, Fields mostly played well. He forced one ball on an interception and made a poor decision on a third down late in the game, forcing one to Pickens when a shorter route was open, but he made some great throws and some great reads, especially the 55-yard touchdown pass. Nick Herbig had a huge game after Alex Highsmith got hurt, too, getting two sacks in the second half. The Steelers held the Chargers to negative yards in the second half.

The Steelers still have some flaws and I'm still not sold on Fields, but I'll happily take 3-0 with a win over a good Chargers team.

 

The kicking game is killing the Giants. Maybe don't play for a 48-yard field goal with a guy you just signed off the street.

 

Am I imaging things or did Jimmy Johnson have the Bogata sniffles?

 

How don’t the Colts not run the kick out of the end zone. Idiotic.

 

How do you have 300 yards combined from the running back and tight end and score 15 points? Good Lord. Something is wrong.

 

If he doesn't get David Carr'd, Williams is going to be good. And as bad as the O-line is, the weak link is Eberflus. He is awful.

 

Two turnovers in the red zone in the first half had a lot to do with it. So did having WR1 out for the game and WR2 knocked out of the game.

 

Ravens ran through the Cowboys like shit through a goose. It’s 7-0 and I’ve seen enough.

 

I can rock my Jackson jersey tomorrow.

 

So Dak is getting how much?

 

Fair. But he's no longer a young man. Might not be that.

 

Based on one half, Panthers had both a Bryce Young AND a line problem.

Team has scored 14 points and actually looks like it has a clue. But Dalton has been sacked twice ... in both cases, they were line issues, not holding-the-ball issues or trying to take seven-step drops and allowing receivers to work deep.

Small sample size, but they look competitive, which hasn't been said in a long time. Charlotte's NFL team might again contain football substance.
