Evil, no need to use a gimmick in Pittsburgh.

I did see a flash of a person wearing a #97 Kendrell Bell jersey last night.

    Sad.

Funny, at the end of regulation I was thinking the same thing about the Steelers letting the Ravens back in it, then failing to get close enough for the winning field goal. Baltimore was lucky to get that game to overtime.

The Steelers made some plays. Ben Roethlisberger did what he does on his one touchdown pass, escape the rush and make a play on the move. The fumble return for a touchdown is the type of thing you are going to get with a young quarterback. Flacco was impressive last night, but he made a rookie mistake.

Regarding the overtime, it's not like it should be easy to drive from your own 15-yard-line with a rookie quarterback against the league's second-ranked defense.

Kornheiser, Jaworski and Tirico were arguing over the suggestion that the team that won the overtime toss should kick off. I think it was Jaworski who brought it up, and the other two shot him down. Not that I would have chosen to kick, either, but losing the toss did end up helping the Steelers win. Well, that and a penalty on the kick return.

  3. Man, I loved Kendrell Bell.

You probably have no love for Beltin' Delton Hall either?
    Hater. :)

I wonder how many points can be attributed to the defense. Either scoring or giving the offence a short field to work with.

When Kendrell was on the field. he was a monster.

He just does not have enough of a history to keep wearing the jersey 5-6 years later.

Was his other choice a Thigpen?

In the race of which is more in over their head, Sarah Palin has a narrow lead, but Mike Tomlin is making a run.

When I think of Ray Lewis and things wasted, his career doesn't come to mind.

He is 13-7 as a head coach. I think he is fine.

    True.

As an organization, to a have a once-in-a-lifetime defense like this to be wasted on crappy QBs is a shame.

Maybe that reads a little better.

I was thinking more of Atlanta, January 2000.

    I know.

I'm not appreciating the person, but the football player.

What I think will be sadder is when he retires and holds a very high place in the NFL or the Players Union.

I'm hoping after two years Buffalo will go with the retro look. Tho, I do like the helmet. However, the rest of the uniform is an abomination.
