NFL Week 4 -- Won't You Be My Nabers?

This. I don't want to look too far ahead yet, but the Commanders have already played three of their eight road games (NFC teams get the ninth home game this year) and won two of them. The next four -- vs. Cleveland, at Baltimore, vs. Carolina, vs. Chicago. There's a real shot at 6-2 here, with the Ravens game being the only one that seems Washington is more likely to lose than win. The schedule after that looks favorable as well, but things can change so fast in this league due to injuries and such that there's no real point looking more than a month out at a time.

The Giants stink. Philly and Dallas have major issues of their own. Washington winning the NFC East is a plausible outcome based on what we've seen so far. But I continue to believe Daniels is headed for a Wile E. Coyote full body cast before too long.

I’m stunned that Brady comes off as a douche at his new job he didn’t earn.

That is the only good thing about him getting that job, that he will show that side to the folks who want to forget all the petty crap he pulled during his career or that he once ditched a pregnant girlfriend to marry someone else.

With apologies for glibness yesterday, the Commanders have a real shot at 9 wins before 50-50 games are accounted for. Division games against Cowboys and Philly you never know, but they look terrible. Pittsburgh you never know: Steelers could look drab or they could grind one out. NFC South teams are a crapshoot to predict, but there’s a chance.

Just please beat up on the Cowboys.

He won 7 Super Bowls and one of them without King Belichick in the outpost of franchises while the King regressed to less than zero, and out of the league.

    Doesn’t mean he’s not a galactic douche.

There is not enough money in this world to get me to play quarterback in Washington DC.

I noticed a few teams. The Chiefs have lost Pacheco and Rice. The Chargers went into that game yesterday without Bosa and both offensive tackles. The Colts were missing four or five defensive starters and their center. The Steelers are missing their top three offensive guards, a starting tackle, Alex Highsmith, and their entire running back group is either out or playing through injury. Yeah, it's ugly.

Nobody is questioning his accomplishments on the field, but he's a jackass. I get why they handed him that job, but it still sucks that he was pushed ahead of broadcasters who put in the work and are far better than he is at this point.

That's another thing, the offensive linemen getting hurt. Did that used to happen and I didn't notice it? I mean, didn't Bruce Matthews play like 2,000 consecutive games? The Browns are down to one starting lineman and the ones who started were good so you can imagine what's in there now. But it's fun watching Watson run for his life. The Raiders were missing Maxx Crosby yesterday or Watson might be dead by now.
