Oh no doubt. From what I saw and heard today, it seemed Buffalo was automatically dropping five back in coverage all the time and allowing Warner to party like it was 1999. God knows what the linebackers were doing...

That was for Steeler fans in general. Just pointing out the irony of them moaning about a call, when a series of them played a monumental role in winning the SB a couple years ago. ... The call in question was pretty bad, but those are only going to get worse after Brady.

You did see how the Giants ran all over the Skins in that first game right? And you did see how Dallas did hardly ANY running against the Skins right? I feel justified in my opinion. The Skins have some talented cornerbacks, you're not going to beat them by throwing it on almost every down. And hey, I'll celebrate any win any way I want to.

Yes, I did. And maybe saying they "handed" it to the Skins was a bit much BUT I'll stick to my guns with the fact that if Dallas runs the ball more than 11 times in that game, then maybe the defense doesn't get as tired as it did late in the game and that TOP doesn't seem so lopsided. The Skins won, I'll give them their due, I never said I wasn't doing that. What I did say is that Dallas played right into the Skins' gameplan by passing the ball too damn much and they still were a barely missed onsides kick away from maybe turning that shitty gameplan into a victory.

Two full seasons and the start of a third have gone by since the Seahawks turned in a gutless performance and lost the Super Bowl. Get over it already.

Last night's game was badly officiated. Fortunately, it didn't seem to change the outcome. Your argument about Harrison's call would make sense if officials were consistently making that call since Brady's injury, but I haven't seen that. Harrison didn't even take a full step between when the ball was released and when he hit Garrard last night. He did not make contact to the head or below the knee. The ref just made a mistake.

The Steelers did what a team is supposed to do in a situation like that -- overcome it and win anyway. The bad call just made last night's victory even more enjoyable.

I was never "under it" to be over it. The point stands: Many think the Steelers' Super Bowl victory was a gift. So for the rest of ever, please do not whine about officiating. The Seahawks played well enough to move the ball down the field and have TDs taken away by bad calls. If the scenario were reversed, based on the fact you are bitching about a call when your team won, I think it's safe to say you wouldn't yet be over it.

And you haven't seen it? Really? The play Hochuli blew -- and the entire game he blew with it -- in Denver was a product of hyper-QB protecting. Different kind of play, same exact concept. And don't think for a second this won't be discussed in the offseason. Soon, tackling the quarterback will be illegal altogether. Yes, that's hyperbole, but for Harrison to get called for what was nothing more than a clean tackle, not even a hit, but a clean, wrap-him-up, take-him-down tackle, shows you where we're headed.

I said I haven't seen them consistently calling it that way. One blown call by an official who has apologized so much that everybody had to tell him to shut up doesn't count as consistently. And that was a different type of call, so you're wrong there, too.

I'm not whining about it at all. Somebody commented that it was a bad call. I agreed. And I find it very frustrating how inconsistently roughing the passer is called in the NFL. I've been writing about that on this board for a couple of years now.

The longer this goes the more it does seem that you need to get over Super Bowl XL. Perhaps you and Mike Holmgren can become pen pals and whine about it together. The inability by some people to stop complaining about that game is not my problem. It is tiresome, but it is not going to stop me from pointing out things I see from here on out.

I think I pointed out pretty clearly that it was a different kind of play. But Hochuli even admitted his bad call was done with protecting the QB in mind.

I didn't have a dog in the fight in SBXL. I just find it amusing that A) Steeler fans will never acknowledge the way the officiating tilted the game in the Steelers' facor and B) They will cry "let it go," when clearly they can't either. As evidenced by you.

It's the whiners like you that won't let it go. Perhaps you are not a Seahawks fan, but you obviously can't seem to put that one behind you. You are the one who brought it up in relation to a game nearly three years later.

Looks like James Harrison is determined to get himself fined over this one. He is absolutely correct, but criticizing officials is never a good idea for a player.

Two awful calls does not qualify as "consistency." Perhaps you should consult a dictionary.

That's just two that we've seen/talked about. There is at least one in every game.

And "whiners" like me? Glad you've done such a good job of letting it go.

Ohio State's Fiesta Bowl win was six years ago. I still think it's funny when OSU fans gripe about officials, too, since one gave them a national championship. Sometimes the officials are bad, but when they played a huge role in your team getting the big trophy, you ought to ignore them for the next, oh, ever.

As an absolutely objective and knowledgeable observer, the only call the officials messed up was the Roethlisberger call at the goal line.

Had no bearing on Parker's run or Randle-El's pass.

Stop with the criticism of the XL officials, you look idiotic.

Gold, the XL officiating has been argued on this board many times. Many, many times.

Far more interesting events occurred yesterday in the NFL like the Colts playing Rasputin again or the Patriots pumping the chest of their season in San Francisco.
