Just looked for other HC gigs and these were the only 2. Career record: 33-37-1 and 1-1 in bowls.

    Legacy wut?

He was a much better coach than his kid, which tells you how bad his kid is.

I was there for Hackett's last post-game press conference at Pitt, when you could tell he knew he was near the end. When most of the local pros were gone, he sat around chatting with a few reporters from the college paper. He seemed very calm and affable, seemingly resigned to his fate.

I was also there at a press conference announcing his resignation, when his attitude was very different. He was pissed about being forced out and he clearly didn't like having to deal with a press conference.

The funny thing about Hackett is Rodgers was great long before Hackett arrived in GB. Hackett had a very unremarkable career going before arriving in GB.

Dad Hackett was a complete fucking zero as the USC head coach.

Dad passed down two things to the son: Baldness, and extremely mediocre coaching talent.

Don't forget the need to latch on to an All-Pro QB to show how "brilliant" you are. Dad arrived in SF after Montana led the Niners to a SB, won a second while Paul was QB coach. His "brilliance" and pretty much every job he got after that was based on that.
