Without looking, he was 1 year with Arizona, then a backup for a year or maybe a little longer with various random teams. What a shitty pick.

His claim to fame was beating the Packers in Green Bay and getting McCarthy fired, IIRC.

Trubisky’s backing up Josh Allen in Buffalo.

When he has NFL-caliber blocking in front of him.

I think we also got a little spoiled because of how good the guys drafted between 2000 and 2008 were. A lot of them kept their jobs for not only the entire 2000s, but well into the 2010s as well, and most of them were at least borderline Hall of Famers.
I'd count Brady, Roethlisberger, Flacco, Rivers, Eli Manning, Rodgers, Brees and Matt Ryan among that group. If you want to go 1998-2008 you can throw Peyton Manning, Donovan McNabb and Kurt Warner onto the list.
Those guys did it so well, and for so long, that maybe we've just regressed closer to what's normal and forgot what normal is.

So we'll never see him again.

Absolutely. And once we suffered through a Super Bowl featuring Trent Dilfer vs. Kerry Collins, I knew it could only get better and thankfully it got really good.

He’s played in three games already this season!

When we say played? We just mean he made appearances in games that were clearly out of reach...right?

No, he was the motion man from the slot and the third tight end.

He played one first-and-goal play last week when it appeared Allen had a concussion and was out of the game. Handed off.

So the No. 2 quarterback drafted in 2017 has found a new role in a goal line package. Ok. Way to stay in the league.

And then they decided a clearly concussed Allen, who was 9-for-30, was a much much better choice? Damn just one hand off was all they needed to see.
