Thanks. I forgot about the combines. There's no doubt Cassel can play -- he was a quarterback at USC, after all -- but I just think he'd be a much riskier pick than an established passer at a smaller school, so to speak.

Little surprised the Buccaneers decided to throw from the 45 on fourth down instead of try the field goal. I suppose there was time left, but you do have a kicker who made a 62-yard game winner last year. Eh, probably unlikely to happen again.

I think if ESPN does one of those nationwide polls for the Pats-Colts game, it'll be 49 states to 1 in favor of Indy.

Nah. It'll be 48-2. Lotta Pats-lovin' assholes in Rhode Island, too.

If anything, I think more people would vote for the Patriots -- especially if Harrison's out next Sunday, too.

Considering there are 6 NE states, or well, 5 1/2 I guess, since part of CT might as well be in NY, so it wouldn't be quite that skewed.

Not a poll on whom do you think will win, but whom do you want to win. Is Rhode Island even a state?

Haha, well RI is pretty damn small, but if it's a poll based on who you want to win, that's even more reason why the New England states would vote for the Pats.

I'm just overstating the obvious, that the great majority of this country wants to see Belichick get his comeuppance. At this point, even Pats fans with any sense have to be a little embarrassed by his actions.

So far, NE's opponents don't seem to give a shit, so why should anyone else. If the other teams keep taking it, I hope the Pats run it up on everyone.

Bill Belichick: Hao! Dai ye! We won again! This is good, but what is best in life?
Tom Brady: The open receiver, fleet running back, Super Model Baby Mommas, and the wind in your hair.
Bill Belichick: Wrong! Brady! What is best in life?
Tom Brady: To crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentation of the women.
Bill Belichick: That is good! That is good.

I've never understood the problem with "running up the score," so to speak.

As Rosevelt Colvin said after the game, you don't put your offense out there to punt. Do what you have to do to score, it's the defense's job to stop you. Bottom line. Maybe they should've put Cassel in earlier (I'm assuming he got in later, since I turned it off), but even then, I wouldn't blame them for throwing at all.

If I'm the coach, I'm playing the entire game like I started it--to win and to score.

I wouldn't ever put the defense on the field and tell them to just get out of the way, so I don't understand why people think the offense should run three plays and walk off so they can punt.

If the defense has a problem with it, man up and stop them. Pretty simple concept.

OK, that changes my opinion. I don't think it'd be that wide a margin, but the Colts would win the poll by a bit.
