I haven't seen any of the opposition bitching to this degree about what the Pats have been doing. Take your asswhooping and move on.

Agreed. He's an asshole...and one of the Top 5 football coaches in NFL history.

What better way to stick it to the naysayers than fielding the most dominant team in NFL history? (thus far, a lot can happen from now 'till that Sunday in Arizona)

    That second part is debatable.

What offense would ever want to give up the ball, even in garbage time?

Screw it. You've got the ball, you play.

MMS, that's exactlly how I feel. If the defense can't stop even the scrubs, the defense should go play in the sandbox and cry with the first-graders.

I liked the line about how Goodell took away a first-round pick, so the Patriots are going to take your first born.

It wasn't against the scrubs, that's the whole point. Brady was still playing with a 38 point lead with 9 minutes left in the game. Then he throws a touchdown pass to a starting wide reciever. Why is the first string offense still in the game? I don't have a problem if the scrubs are still scoring touchdowns because they hardly ever get to score and the defense still has to stop them. But I do have a problem with the first string offense still on the field winning by nearly 40 points in the middle of the fourth quarter. That's running up the score.

I don't have a problem with the starters being in there, either, I guess.

The Pats are running up the score. Who cares? Not me. It's football. Boohoo for the poor old Redskins.

    I like this part:

To make matters worse, Gibbs and the coaches lost their communication system during the game. They couldn't work the headsets.

"There were issues," Gibbs said. "It's a problem across the league. I don't want to use that as an excuse for what happened to us today. We'll just continue to let the league know what happened to us today, and we'll just have to see how they deal with it."

A lot said there by Gibbs, and without blowing a gasket.
