Maybe the Pats won't be on the business end of any cheap shots this year. That would require players to actually give a shit, right?

They putting a 52-0 housing on a HOF coach.

What did Gibbs ever do to them?

Do they need to know the third-team defensive signals?

Do they still have some film to use up on the Redskins d-coordinator?

Redskins score. And in a minor upset, Bellichick does not throw the red flag.

I think Drew Brees might be back, too. The knee-jerk reaction is "Yeah, it's San Francisco," but the Niners actually hadn't allowed more than two TD passes in a game this year. Brees has four, including three to Marques Colston (who I dropped this week).

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Cassel played behind Carson Palmer and Matt Leinart at USC, where he didn't start many -- if any -- games at quarterback. How does a guy like him get drafted or even spotted by NFL clubs? Is it just scouting the practices, listening to college coaches, looking back over the player's history (maybe high school), then taking the risk in a deep round?

It just seems to me that there are so many more starting quarterbacks in college from which to choose. So why take a career backup in the draft? Maybe it's a financial thing, too, to an extent.

Fuck, I hate Boston and everything about it.

I think this feeling will residually leak to the Celtics and their mortgaged team.

    Combines.

Look at how much Willie Parker played at UNC.

I remember the entire UNC bench used to get drafted when Dean was the coach.

Jacksonville may win with Quinn Gray at quarterback. Speaking of guys you wonder how they got drafted.

Pittsburgh doesn't have a chance in hell vs. NE.

NE is going to beat Indy by 2+ touchdowns.

You think that NE is pissed off for giving up that TD to the Redskins, thus ruining every gambling degenerate's wet dream of covering the spread?

Spygate had to be the worst thing that could ever happen to the NFL, 'cause NE is using it as a calling card of whoop ass.

Randy Moss or Brady get hurt, and the Pats are not the best team in the AFC.

There is a reason the Super Bowl is not played in October or November.

  11. I don't think Gibbs and Cheater did the post-game handshake.

Kind of surprised the Pats didn't try a hail mary there at the end. Hit that and get a 2-pt conversion and they've got 60.

Everyone assumes the Pats are ticked after spygate. I wonder if Bellicheat got tired of all the love the Colts and Manning got in the offseason. As much as Brady's throwing it's almost like they're saying "49 TDs in a season? Yeah, that's nice, Brady will get that in 10 games"

And yeah, I'm a little bitter since Laurence "no touchdown" Maroney is on my fantasy team.
