One of the officiating experts on ESPN this morning was hinting that it was somehow legal as well. As long as the QB hasn't crossed the line of scrimmage and the receiver is past the 5-yard limit, how is that not PI?

It would be PI if the ball was in the air. If it wasn't, it would be illegal contact.

No, it was legal. That is the rule.

no. You're right. He's suffered enough. He should get a 2 second head start on every play. 350 years of being required to start 5 seconds after the play began, he deserves, affirmatively, to start the action early

If the refs blow the whistle like they are supposed to, it never happens. No, the other ten Seahawks didn't stop, they were just nowhere near the kicker. But yes, definitely a 4 game suspension, probably should be booted from the league.

Pardon me if this was explained earlier, but are you saying it shouldn't have been unnecessary roughness? You do remember that the league office admitted it was an error that Sherman was not penalized for unnecessary roughness, right?

Dean Blandino: Refs made mistakes in Seahawks' win

Sure, Sherman made an amazing move to get his hand on the ball, but the only reason it was so difficult is because he did it while throwing himself at Carpenter's legs. That sure looked like intent to injure to me.

I'm going to assume you were taking a shot at 'yab with the racism bullshit, because if you were making a general statement about anybody that things it was unnecessary roughness, then you are the one offering an unintelligent take.

I'd be fine if they called it uneecrssary roughness. None of this happens though if the refs do their job and blow the whistle to stop the play.

The reffing was a joke, the time count violation was just as bad.

So why the racism argument? Was that just directed at 'yab?
