It's the modern-day version of it.

I probably deserve the roasting I'll get for this, but in my limited observations the Browns don't seem as completely terrible as you'd expect for a winless team halfway through the schedule. I kept expecting them to break through and finish with 4-5 wins, although 2-3 might be a stretch goal by now.

It would help immensely if they had something resembling an NFL quarterback.

And he stayed in the upright and locked position for more than a week.

Yes, any team that has had six players throwing passes in the season's first eight games is probably going to struggle a bit.

The Browns would beat the 49ers by two touchdowns.

Whitlock just talked to Ray Lewis on the FS1 show (with Cowherd) about Cam. Pretty intense 6-7 minutes.

CTE, ALS, who cares what killed him, right @typefitter?

Enjoy the games this weekend everyone.

Loved Kevin Turner at Alabama. Tougher than rawhide at fullback. Underrated cog on some of the first Crimson Tide teams I fell in love with. This sucks.

NFL.com says Roethlisberger will play today. Which should surprise absolutely no one.

He isn't on the inactive list, though there was some talk that he would dress as the backup. He did that in a similar situation last year, then came on to play after Landry Jones got hurt. That was a rare instance of Roethlisberger playing well coming off an injury, which he has not done most of the time. Between that and the Steelers' struggles on the road this season, this could be a rough one for Pittsburgh even with Baltimore's troubles.

Point being, I expect him to start as well, but I wouldn't be surprised to see the Ravens win this one.

I should have clarified -- NFL.com said Ben will start.
