NFL Week 9: Calling Out Cam

Discussion in 'Sports and News' started by outofplace, Nov 1, 2016.

  1. Not feeling good about today.
Ravens retunrn Stanley and Yanda to the OLine and Steve Smith is in as well.
Suggs is playing today too. I can see him getting to Roethlisberger and re-injuring him. Not intentionally- not Burifect-like.

Browns Cam Erving and Cowboys David Irving both ejected for fighting on first drive.

  3. Hey, Cam did you see Suggs hit on Roethlisberger?
    No flag.
    Typical.

    And Jesus ... Block Suggs!!!

Oh, I knew what you meant. Was just adding to the point.

So far, the offense looks terrible. Pouncey got hurt on the first play from scrimmage and it is already showing with communication errors up front. Suggs was unblocked on third down on the second possession. They also seem to be trying to hard to protect Roethlisberger so far. Draw on the first third-and-long. Two pass attempts on the first two series against a team with a strong run defense, but a shaky secondary.

The Pouncey injury is huge. Cody Wallace is still out, too, so they have to go to Finney.

And now Jarvis Jones is hurt. He was the only defender playing worth a damn.

    The defense looks helpless again.

  6. Hopefully Pouncey will be back.

Steve Smith is a freak of nature.

Need oop to explain who shot the gaps and which linebacker blitzed to create chaos so that Flacco threw a pick there. And need to know what the cadence was in relation to the 3-4 setup the Steelers were in, and who was the nickel, and why?

    Batman likes this.
  8. Zero running game. Brown is invisible.
And third and whatever, it's a run play?

That was sloppy tackling by Mitchell. I get not wanting to take the facemask penalty, but you can't let Smith get way without even slowing him down in that situation.

They've done that twice. Other than protecting Roethlisberger, I do not see the point of it. He clearly isn't sharp, but they have to run their offense.

Well, that last play was simply Mike Mitchell failing miserably as a tackler and handing the Ravens a touchdown. Just an inexcusable error with the Ravens pinned deep in their own end.

Nah, Flacco is just an elite QB.
