Fitting end to a disgusting effort by the Steelers.

He hit himself in the leg, which made killed the play immediately. Funny.

I assume he has tried that move with some success in practice, faking a kick one way, then pushing it the other with the right foot behind his left, but it is still an inexcusable mistake. You have to give your team a chance. The Steelers failed to do so on many occasions today.

Our European football friends would call that a 'rabona.' Or more accurately, a 'raboner.'

  5. I turned it off after the blocked punt. Nealry threw the remote through the TV.
Jesus.. How could they have played that badly on offense?
    Defense wasn't bad.
    The offensive ineptitude was stunning.

That said, I won't be surprised if they bounce back and hang 45 points on Dallas.

49ers-Saints could threaten some NFL scoring records. It's 28-20 with a minute before halftime. Kaepernick has thrown for 286 yards. There have been three TDs of 47+ yards. And neither team figures to learn how to tackle or cover at halftime.

They'll have to step it. I believe the all-time record is Redskins 72-Giants 41 back in the mid-'60s.

Yeah, I looked it up after I posted. Even 100 points barely gets top-five. The Saints and Giants played the 52-49 one just last year. Looks like that one could be in range, at least for the winner's score.

Packers look like dog shit again, down 14 at home to the Colts.

As for that Saints-49ers game, I'm trying to figure out how Mark Ingram runs for a 75-yard touchdown. Though given his role in screwing up my fantasy team, I'm not complaining.

I would. They just aren't that good offensively. The line is shaky, especially without Pouncey and he is no sure thing for next week with that thumb injury.

More importantly, the losses of Bryant and Wheaton have really hurt at receiver. It is just so much easier for teams to double Brown without Bryant on the field. Coates had one big game, but defenses just aren't going to respect him until he proves he can do it consistently. Sure, Roethlisberger missed him on the one deep ball, but he also made a perfect throw right onto Coates's hands in the end zone with about 3:30 left and Coates couldn't handle it. The Steelers had a real shot to come back until that drive failed.

How many times does a team have to stink up the field before we just admit they aren't good? The defense was decent, but Pittsburgh was awful offensively and on special teams all day. It was another lousy performance right there with the stinkers against the Dolphins and Eagles. The only thing that offers any hope is that the AFC North sucks this year. The Bengals can't seem to get their act together. The Ravens stink on offense. The Steelers can't play on the road and the Browns are just putrid.

2004 draft HOFers. Eli, Rivers, Roethlisberger, Larry Fitzgerald, Jared Allen, Vince Wilfork?

Ingram just went over 100, making the 49ers the first team in NFL history to allow a 100-yard rusher seven games in a row.
