You're making this shit up, right? You're just the A_F understudy, here because the lead has sore posting fingers today, right? You're just playing a role and don't really believe this drivel, right?

Wow, can you imagine how great Tom Brady would be with good receivers? And Vick needs protection? Why, I thought his brilliance was in his elusiveness and athleticism! And if he was half as good as you say he is, why, he'd do what Brady and other Grade-A QBs have done for decades: MAKE THEIR RECEIVERS BETTER. Go ask Alvin Harper how much money Troy Aikman made him.

Face it: Your boy is one of the five most overhyped players to ever enter the NFL. So he had two good weeks in a row. So did John Fourcade in 1987.

You just figured this out? You're a week late on that observation.

Somewhere, Robert Gallery, Tony Mandarich, David Klingler, Andre Ware and Ki-Jana Carter are shifting their eyes nervously...

As far as the Steelers season goes, this is all I have to say: Thank God college basketball season starts soon and both UNC and Pitt will be fielding top 10 caliber teams.

Yes, that will take Pittsburgh's mind off football.

On that note, Gus' partner Steve Tasker just annoyed the hell out of me today. The best one was when the Chargers' scored their last TD to put them up 30-18. Then they went for two for a two-TD lead and Tasker's saying they should just go for the one point. What possible reason would you have not to go for the 14-point lead at that point of the game?

Nice third-down conversion for 44 yards to set up that touchdown pass to Marvin. Colts look sharp early.

This is probably true, but since my first love is UNC, that doesn't bother me. By tourney time the top freshmen coming in for the Heels will have plenty of experience and UNC will be a scary team to play.

Anybody keeping a running tally on how many damn times "This is Our Country" is played tonight?

 If I ever meet John Mellencamp, I think I'm gonna punch him right in the vocal cords.
