If they don't tighten up, they might not have to worry about it at all.

Bills should be wearing white pants.

When I was a kid electric football games started offering games with NFL teams instead of the old red players vs. white players. I always wanted one with Lions and Dolphins because of the uniforms at that time (around 1971). But all I ever got to play with was Browns-Giants and Colts-Jets.

They are having big problems with the Dolphins. So much for consoling myself with the idea that the Steelers wouldn't have had much of a chance to win a game if they had somehow snuck into the playoffs. Buffalo's defense isn't nearly as good as it looked early in the season and Allen is way too careless with the ball.

We got our electric football set in the fall of '78. Came with Raiders and Vikings (who were in the Super Bowl 2 years earlier). But a kid a few years older had all 28 teams, and while he was a fanatical player for a while, he outgrew it and gave them to us. We played out a full schedule. If I remember right, the Dolphins were in their dark jerseys even though they rarely wore them at the time.

An interesting idea for a video game would be "Electric football" - it would pretty much be Madden, but slower - and you would be able to "pause" when you wanted the qb throw when a receiver got open.

Bob Costas got raked over the coals by the keen minds of Twitter the last time he was heard rhapsodizing about the 1949 World Series during an ALDS game. But at least you got the sense Bob still wanted to be there, wherever there was.

I'm late to this discussion, but ... I heard Al on a podcast a few hours before the game yesterday (either Deitsch or Traina), taped earlier in the week, and I wouldn't have pegged him to mail this in. After all those lousy Amazon games he sounded quite excited for a game that was expected to be close, heck he even had a Cali team. And reunited with the NBC crew, etc. But he just sounded like a guy who has seen it all and couldn't muster excitement for one more wild one. Or as some suggested, maybe he had LA -2.5.
