Keith got five regular season games, and he had no priors. Torres has been a fuckstick his whole career. But since he once played for the Canucks it doesn't surprise me you're on his nuts.

Not on his nuts at all. I think he's a piece of shit. I was fine with what Keith got but if you are going to suspend him 25 games 13 of which were playoffs than Keith and others like Doan deserve a hell of a lot more.

Cardiac arrest. It happened in my hometown at the new rec centre that just opened in April. People here are in total shock.

Brett had CPR and defibrillation at the arena before the paramedics arrived. He was rushed to the Owen Sound hospital and airlifted from there to London. According to Nick Kypreos, his condition has stabilized.

Believe me I don't have illusions about the Oilers' chances of signing Suter -- I was more letting the mind wander. I'm also not really sure what the signing of Hordichuk accomplishes besides eat time and a roster spot from guys like Hartikanan, Lander and other young guys.

And what would you figureit would take to pry Weber away? I think it starts at Yakupov and goes up from there. I don't see them doing that either, much for the same reasons they're not in the hunt for Suter -- the dollars it would take to re-sign him. If anything, they find a way to add a Carle or trade for a Hjalmarsson. I know they are high on their some of their young DMen coming up like Klefbom, Gernat, Marincin and Musil but they're all at least a year away yet. Shultz's addition is huge, and he quickly becomes the best of the young lot. At the NHL level they are still weak. Whitney is a china doll. I'm not sure what to think of the other Schultz -- haven't had much of a chance to watch him since they traded for him. Petry has a lot of potential but is still developing. Smid is a rock, but limited offensively. Sutton is a 6 or 7. The rest is a pretty underwhelming bag between Tuebert, Peckham and Potter.

So the 3 most pursued free agents choose Edmonton and Minnesota. It's bizzaro NHL.

    Indeed.

And Sutter took about the same money to leave the franchise that nurtured him.

Did he buy the extra 'T' with his signing bonus?

If they can't sign Weber to a long term deal, the Preds are screwed. Back to hoping for 8th place and 60 saves a night from Rinne.

Damn. This is awesome!! Never got my hopes up too high they could reel in Parise. But to get both? Amazing! Go Wild!

Now, I'm convinced more than ever that Weber will wind up with Detroit. I think they wanted him even more than they wanted Suter.
