I think most of the programming on ESPN3 is repeaters of stuff from other broadcasts all over the world. Used to have some CFL games (not sure if they still do since NBCSN has the TV rights) and Aussie Rules football, pro tennis from Asia and Europe, etc. Sort of like Universal Sports, which does actually have a TV signal, but next to no one carries it because the programming just isn't in high enough demand.

I think ESPN3 and 360 are the same.

ESPN3 will carry a good number of college football games live on Saturdays.

They already do. Might make them increase their share of them, though.

Aren't those games produced by someone else (albeit under the ESPN + banner)?

I think a lot of them are. I can't imagine ESPN is footing the bill and everything for a game like Florida International at Arkansas State.

D'Oh. Should have self-edited better there.

Meant to say that they do carry, not will.

I've watched some of my alma mater games on there. It's a non-AQ conference. It wouldn't have been on TV without ESPN3. Think they just hired a couple of the conference commentators for the game.

I have seen some of the bigger school games on there as well though.

My alma mater is also an a non-AQ conference and gets a lot of its game on ESPN3. Between that and smaller stations like CSS (for those of you who live in the South), I get a chance to catch a lot of them.

Can I split the difference and talk about how much I enjoy watching the Roughriders on ESPN360 each weekend?

    Unless it's the Vanier Cup.
