Makes two of us. He's a guy who half-asses it until the stretch run and/or playoffs, then he's a great player.

You'd think that those fans, who believe the Cup and legendary Habs are their birthright, would be aggravated with him.

A treasure hunter searching in Florida waters came across a true Canadian find - a Stanley Cup ring marking the last time Toronto's Maple Leafs were able to clinch the hockey championship.

The ring has been missing for some thirty years. It belonged to former Maple Leaf right-winger Jim Pappin, the player who led his team during the 1967-68 season playoffs with seven goals and 15 points.

Pappin was so disillusioned with the Leafs after they traded him to the Chicago Blackhawks, he gave his ring to his father-in-law.

Well it could be said they are trying to re-sign Pappin to be their new power forward, somebody with championship experience and can match Sundin at least in age.

OR

How about they better take care of it this time because it will be another 40 years before they come out with another Maple Leafs cup ring?

I think you have to use the material that the ring was found in Florida - the perfect place for the senior citizens who either remember, or played for, the last decent hockey club Toronto had.
