I have a feeling that Sutter will step in before Keenan rides those three into the ground. Keep in mind the chance of the Flames being able to keep their core intact beyond this year is slim to begin with, seeing how just about the entire roster will be hitting freeagency.
Besides I think Iginla and Phaneuf will be fine regardless (I always worry about goalies when it comes to Keenan), the ones to worry about will be the likes of Lombardi and Heusalius (sp?).

There shouldn't be anything about Keenan that Sutter doesn't know. Not only has Darryl been around the league long enough to have heard all the stories (which are all true), he worked with Keenan in Chicago and his brothers Ron and Rich both played for Keenan in Philly.

Muckler gone in Ottawa. Not sure if Murray will be coach/GM, but he pulled the power play and won it.

    He's in charge now.

I was initially shocked that Muckler was fired, but then I wondered if Murray had a hand in this decision.
I am not so sure if Ottawa will be better or worse off with this decision. I think Muckler was the least of the team's problems.

It is pretty surprising that a guy can build a team that's perennially considered a Stanley Cup favourite and then get turfed the year they make it to the final. Makes you wonder what did occur in Ottawa.

I wonder if Muckler and Murray never got along or if an isolated incident took place that prompted the Sens to shovel him out of there. Maybe Eugene didn't like him or Murray wanted to control the whole pie.

JR, just went on TSN (sorry not CBC) and Sens have called a press conference for 1pm where they will reveal that Muckler is gone and Murray to assume GM duties. Eugene apparenly told Muckler over the weekend.

Well, the other news I read in Cox's blog today is that Mike Freakin' Milbury's name has popped up as possible candidate for the Bruin's coaching job.
