Giguere is hot and cold. If he was hot to get his contract, it's only logical that he will once again disappear.

Maybe Pronger could eff up again and land a one-way ticket to Columbus or Florida?

I got this off a newspaper blog and haven't seen the THN in print. Anybody know its picks for the other divisions?

I actually like the Carolina pick. There was some Stanley Cup hangover going on last season, which won't be a problem this year. I'm still not convinced Washington did enough to move out of the cellar though.

I don't know enough hockey to keep up with all this (although I am a casual fan), but I can impart this bit of information, taken from Broadway.com.

I hope you're right, FofF. Now to see that Rutherford doesn't get carried away and deal him for a pair of practice skates like he did with Jack Johnson.

Comrie's in NYC, and the best he can do is Hilary Duff? He needs to hang out with Sean Avery more.

There's got to be some other puckheads who are like me.

I live in the states and sports radio and most media keep telling me that we all love the NFL. They keep saying, "aren't you all excited about the NFL?" They treat it like a kid treats the days before Christmas and the hype gets worst ever year.

Me? I'm indifferent about the NFL. If they went on strike or disbanded, I wouldn't miss it. I like college football, but I couldn't care less about the NFL. I love baseball and college basketball, but also couldn't care less about the NBA.

To me, the only good thing about the start of the NFL season is that it means that NHL training camps are going to start soon and the September playoff races in baseball are heating up.
