About time they brought in Johnny Canuck. That stupid whale should have never existed.

Flash, do you know any reason why Playfair took an assistant's position to Keenan?

Because he wanted to keep a job?

How many times can they change colors and sweaters? Seems like they do it all the time.

Every time they think they can suck 150 bucks out of the average consumer? I dunno. There's not much to be said for tradition anymore.

Any truth to the rumours Pat Burns wants back into coaching? Is he in full remission?

At least these colors are the same ones the 'Nucks used in their original incarnation in the 1970s. Thankfully, they didn't resurrect the blandest logo in the history of professional sports, nor did they resurrect the yellow/red/black "V," quite possibly the ugliest uniform in the history of professional sports.

This franchise has changed colors, logos, sweaters about as much as George Steinbrenner used to change managers, but they've never seemed to get it right. Methinks Johnny Canuck isn't going to last too long, either.

Is Kariya going to stay in Nashville?

You could be right, especially considering the demographics of Vancouver. The average citizen won't relate to the legend that is Johnny Canuck.

As for Julien, I'm glad he found a new gig. Didn't Robbie Ftorek go to the Bruins after the Devils fired him? Weird.

If the Predators end up in Hamilton, I kinda doubt it. :D

Seriously, I don't know. I dunno who else may have the salary cap room to sign him, combined with a place where Kariya may actually want to be.

A very nice night of hockey one year ago today. :)

Ahhhh ... yes. It was, wasn't it?

A couple of the news copy folks thought I was physically losing it. But Justin Williams' empty-netter pretty much launched me for a few hours.
