He's going to play more than two games this season. Devils know that they need a relatively fresh Marty if they harbor Cup aspirations. So, for the first time in a long time, Jersey is going to monitor Marty's games. They may limit him to 70 games.

I don't give a damn about the Devils' Cup aspirations! The playoffs don't count in fantasy hockey. :)

    That's true.

But remember one thing. You're all playing for second place, after Avery's Agitators draft! ;D

But that's only because I'm going to rest Brodeur in the regular season so that I can pummel everybody in the playoffs.

I guess everyone will say that Cam's diet works. Can't wait for the idiots in Raleigh to say that it's "just one game." That was the theme when he turned away Mario Lemieux, Ziggy Palffy and some kid named Sid to win the home opener two years ago.

That season turned out OK for he and the organization.

Pretty good team, HB. But where's Jordan Staal? ... you got the rest of the family. :D

Yeah, that was a pretty good year for the Whalercanes.

Someone beat me to Jordan Staal. Oh well. I figure Eric can more than make up for Jordan's point totals. And Marc, well, I figure if he gets a roster spot with the Rangers this season, he'll have an opportunity to rack up some points.

I know that family thing pretty well, HB. Ticked off a dynasty FFL with Sterling and Shannon Sharpe for a few years before a neck injury did Sterling in.

I didn't plan to do the family thing. I wanted to draft the best available player when it was my turn. I just sort of lucked into my team.

I didn't plan it, either. Got Sterling in a deal for Terry Allen the first year of the league in '92. That was pretty nice. Grabbed Shannon on the free-agent wire when Clarence Kay was still John Elway's target in Denver ... it was nice to have basically the best TE - or at least the best fantasy TE - in the league for about a decade. Was probably the difference for many a tight week ...

I had the sixth pick in the draft. So, I had no shot at Sid, Alex The Gr8, Luongo or Heatley.

Lecavalier scored 52 goals last season and plays with St. Louis on his line, so that was a no-brainer. In the second round, Kovalchuck was still available so I snapped him up. In the third and fourth rounds I got my goaltending and I was off to the races...

Looks good, HB. As much as I should have probably accepted the challenge, I've got enough going on and will be taking on more - one way or another - fairly soon.
