I doubt it but give it a shot.

Anyone here heard of Adrian Dater? Soon enough, you will.

(not a hockey player, a hockey journalist)

Er, why is it unfair? LeBrun's story says the 'six championships any Canadian-born hockey player cares about.'

LeBrun wasn't writing about championships Russians care about.

Thus, the Memorial Cup belongs in the story.

Maybe Neidermayer will find a team with which he can win the Allen Cup. ;)

He covers the Avs for the Denver Post.

And he's going to be famous soon for what reason?

OC Register's story today mentions Niedermayer has talked to Burke, but that there's nothing pending right now. Burke said he'd give Niedermayer a lot of time because he's earned the right and that there's no one available on July 1 who could replace Niedermayer. Story also updated the Selanne situation. He said if he does come back it'll only be with the Ducks. He's planning to make a decision in a week or so.

Is he leaving the Post to go to ESPN or Versus or something?

Went ahead and gave Dater his own thread on the journalism board.

    Good catch, good rant.

I guess he's not going to ESPN or TV any time soon ;D

The rant was great, but I guess there's a bonus layoff in sports coming from a paper that's looking for people to cut. Still, it is true that ESPN gives itself too much credit.

There's no story there anymore. Anyone give a recap?
