I was working all day. I just walked in and checked TSN.ca.

I hereby officially renounce my fandom for the Edmonton Oilers until Kevin Lowe and Craig McTavish and Craig Simpson are thrown out on their collective ass on the coldest day of an Edmonton winter (Just for kicks, I want Ralph Klein to walk by and thrown toonies at them!).

I can live without Lupul (although, I still think last year was an anomaly) but trading Jason Smith? Come on. I hope this team NEVER makes the playoffs with those three stooges in charge.

No. You know what SHOULD provide some help? A different power-play coach. CHRIS Simpson could do a better job than her hapless brother.

No shit he's been an exceptional leader - and he's the only one you had left! Who in Messier's name is going to lead this team of losers?

    FUCK!

Oh, and the Devils are fucked. No Gomez. No Rafalski. No chance to win a Cup. Marty's great, but even he can't stand on his head 75 nights a year plus the playoffs.

    God damn you Quinn.
    Now they'll overpay for Vanek.
Pomminville won't have half the season he had in 06-07.

Well at least they signed Adam Fucking Mair to a 3-year deal.

Islanders are screwed, losing Poti and Blake, and not re-signing Smyth. He'll be somewhere else--Calgary?--tomorrow.

I was wrong about Smyth. He won't be in Calgary.

He'll be in Colorado. And the Islanders will still be fucked.

It's the Flyers. Never expect logic.

And now the Rangers give Gomez SEVEN years?

Death. Taxes. Flyers and Rangers doing the same old shit year after year. And you can understand why, what with all the success they've had.

Well, I'm of the opinion that the Rangers may be one of the best teams in the East next year.

Leadership times two in Drury & Shanahan.

    Playmaker in Gomez.

I'm thinking they'll give everyone a run for the money for first place.

Gomez will center Jagr and Straka. Drury will be on the second line with Avery and Shanahan. Third line looks like it'll be Ryan Callahan, Matt Cullen and Petr Prucha. Betts will center the fourth line and PK.

Defense wise, Malik-Roszival are the first unit, followed by Tyutin-Girardi and Mara-Pock, with Marc Staal probably being the 7th defenseman.

I know it's a long season that hasn't started, but man, this team looks like it could win The Cup.
