Ah to be honest, I don't really know. He's just so up and down on the ice that I can't imagine he's much fun behind closed doors. Maybe I should change that to Aucoin, considering he was a real tool in Chicago.

I talked to a buddy earlier today and we agreed that the 2007-08 Islanders might be as bad--if not worse--than the nine win Capitals.

Report in today's Star that the Leafs may be looking to trade Andrew Raycroft.

This just in ... Flames agree to five-year contract extension with Iginla. Speculation has him at $7 mill a year.

Must be wanting insane money. Devils probably wouldn't do it, but it'd be cool if they do!

Souray would be more than an adequate replacement for Rafalski.

The Devils added former Rangers and Senators defenseman Karel Rachunek on Tuesday.

They still need a defenseman, becasue Rachunek is awful.

James Mirtle's trying to figure out who's gonna have the worse team next year, the Islanders or Coyotes.

    http://mirtle.blogspot.com/2007/07/two-questions-for-masses-free-agency.html

The team is (unwisely) listing their roster based on 2006-07 statistics and the players they've acquired to this point, which consist of Jon Sim and his good friend nothing. Bergeron's third in team scoring at the moment, and Park's 26 points have him sixth among forwards. And it's not as if there's a lot of scoring punch to be had out there.

Snow's next 15-year deal better be headed Slava Kozlov's way or it's going to be a long one in Long Island.

How's that for a team slogan?

    and on the Phoenix side:

Given that even the Blackhawks, Kings, Blues, Capitals and Panthers have shown signs of life, Phoenix has been wholly passed in the turtle derby in the NHL's basement.

If this isn't the league's worst team this season, they've got only Garth Snow to thank

Boy, Rick di Pietro must be wondering, "What did I do to deserve this?"

Well, about that Slava Kozlov deal ...

ATLANTA (AP) — The Atlanta Thrashers addressed one of their most pressing offseason concerns Wednesday by re-signing forward Slava Kozlov to a multi-year deal.

But the Islanders have made their move ...

UNIONDALE, N.Y. (AP) — The New York Islanders have signed veteran left wing Ruslan Fedotenko to a $2.9-million, one-year deal.
