So much for all that Drury and Souray are going to sign in LA because that's where they live/have family/want to play.

The issue is whether you go with a player's signature on a contract, or a letter of agreement from the agent. I am not sure if the Oilers have a case here, even though Gillis did have an agreement, which I am not sure if it was confirmed as written or not. Nylander actually signed the contract with the other team involved.

Calgary signing Owen Nolan was not a good move. Look at what happened in Toronto?
Nolan is past his prime and I am not sure what he may bring now to the rink for the Flames. I don't think he is going to help the team.
Hey, isn't there rumour that Les Canadiens voulez Yashin?

San Jose didn't think Nolan was a cancer, and the Coyotes had nothing but good things to say about him. Are you saying he's a cancer just because of the health issue in Toronto, or do you actually have some kind of proof of this?

    Only if Hasek doesn't resign.

And if Hasek doesn't resign, why not Jimmy Howard-Chris Osgood combination?

Who is reporting this rumor? Souray has already played for the Devils, but I think he and Brodeur are friends and business partners.

Update edit: I just saw that it was from a NY Post story.

NY Post reporting that John MacLean appears to be the front-runner for the Devils job with Larry Robinson at his side. I sure hope if this happens that MacLean gets at least one FULL season (w/postseason if that even happens) without Lou pulling the rug out from under MacLean. And yes, I know this report is from a NY Post story.

Devils signed goalie Kevin Weekes to a $1.375-million, two-year contract to back up Brodeur.

    According to Canadian Press

Not bad compensation for playing, what, eight games.
