Sorry, Mustard. I didn't realise you still had bad memories about that. :)

And yes, he did stop 70 of 73 shots against the Bruins.

Oilers have offered Thomas Vanek a $50 million deal over 7 years.

Sabres have seven days to match.

    The world is truly nuts.

according to the sabres' presser, Quinn says Vanek's agent wasn't interested in negotiating. Instead, he called around the league looking for an offer sheet to determine the market value. Needless to say, the sabres' brass ain't too thrilled with Mr. Lowe and the Oil.

I'll say this for the Sabres: If I was going to retain one of my guys for 7/$50M, he's have been third on the list.

He'll only play 3-4 games and it won't be until late in the season.

This makes no sense unless they have a deal done to move Raycroft.

Rangers have offered Lundqvist arbitration to avoid having a similar situation in regards to the Vanek deal Buffalo was forced to eat.

Lundqvist, Hossa and Avery are all arbitration eligible; Shanny's a UFA, but he won't break the bank to re-sign.
