Welcome back, Beef. The Sabres will never ever ever ever ever ever ever ever deal with the Oilers again.

Not that they did much before anyways. Can't even recall one prior deal.

Word is, they have sent Brodeur to schmooze him. Apparently they own a restaurant together.

But the Rangers are in the hunt, too.

I thought Souray was committed to playing on the West coast - particularly So. California - so he could be near his kid?

That's been the story since - what? mid? - last season.

Maybe he'll just whore himself for the biggest contract.

I've never understood the anger vented about RFA offers esp. in recent years like with the Kessler offer last year. It's a tool at the disposal of GMs that should be used more often. If they have a problem with other teams poaching their younger players, well take care of them and sign them when their contracts are up or in the final year of their contracts.

When in doubt take the money and run, right? With enough money he can fly crosscountry to visit hos kid whenever he wants.

Yeah because he's so hard up for cash now.

I suppose. But if isn't going to get the location, he might as well max out his dollars.

Colin White already makes $3 million per season so Souray would have to make more than that for sure to go to the Devils. Rafalski was making $4-5 million last year and that's who Souray would be replacing.
