Wooley was in camp last year with Carolina. Very nice guy and was pretty decent in practice and scrimmages.
I appreciated him, because he was willing to really be honest and say that one Stanley Cup will not make Carolina a destination hockey market.

Probably to play for his father in Sweden.

Only reason Rangers traded Cullen was to free up some coin for Hossa and Avery.

A story came out a couple of months ago that Forsberg is so tired of the NHL that he may opt to play for Sweden next season instead of coming back to the NHL. Not sure though if he will or come back to play for the Hamilton, oh sorry, Kansas, oh sorry, I meant Nashville Predators.

Darcy Tucker will join Wayne Gretzky et al by appearing as himself in the CBC comedy series "Little Mosque on the Prairie" .

One of the lead actors in the series is Carl Rota, Morris O'Brian on 24.

Tucker was chosen for the show when Kirstine Layfield, CBC's executive director of network programming, recommended him to the show's executive producer Mary Darling.

"We saw it as a great way to promote two of our most successful shows," Layfield said, adding Tucker was her first choice. "He's a natural and the connection was natural.

"Little Mosque is a family show and our other great family show is Hockey Night in Canada."

Darling said using a hockey theme follows the show's theme of portraying Muslims as regular Canadians under their hijabs and tunics.

"We have an episode this season with Muslims trying curling, which demonstrates that we are all one, all Canadians," she said.

"Then we figured, what could be more Canadian than hockey."

he's been threatening that for years. This probably the best time for him to go. I don't see anyone here opening up their walletts for a guy that at most will likely play about 56 games.

Tucker is my favourite Leaf and something tells me he will do well on this show. Tucksie is a natural and he does have quite a raw sense of humour. I met him here for the Celebrity Sports Dinner during the lockout year and he was quite the comedian. I can't wait to watch it.

According to TSN.ca, the Oilers may soon be down to one owner. Local Billionaire Daryl Katz - worth 1.6 billion.

I hope it happens. I personally prefer the one man ownership. Gives the team a true identity, plus the whole too many chefs in the kitchen thing. Plus Katz has the capital to build a new rink and has been involved already in previous talks about fronting a chunk of change for the project. I would welcome this in a heart beat.

I'd take him on the Devils for 50 games -- as long as most of those were postseason games.

Tucker must be high in demand or he must be doing some PR to improve his image even more. He is supposed to be on ET Canada tonight to show his home. I think I saw a show on MTV Canada where Tucksie did the same thing. I think it's funny that he wants to show his home on different shows. Maybe he is planning to sell his home and is using non-conventional methods to sell it???

He gets to coach the Isles against the Penguins. Is it too late to get Bossy, Gillies, Trottier and Billy Smith, etc., to join the team for one game?
