Penner's going to be a big loss to Anaheim if they don't match the offer. I give Edmonton kudos though for trying again after the Vanek debacle.

So this is how teams get kudos? Throw out a ridiculous offer sheet, force the other team to match it? Lame.

I normally find Dowbiggin somewhat boring but this is entertaining:

With all the other crap happening in sports, the Staals were threatened with deportation.

Far as Penner goes, best I can figure is Lowe has lost his fucking mind.

Predators have reported they signed the Eliminator.

    New Preds' sweater: [IMG]

I've read posters and columns suggesting that the Preds are going to suck, but I'm not sure that's the case. They won't contend for the Presidents Trophy, but I think they'll be a playoff team.

    I don't know about that.
Penner is real big, good shot, small town western Canada, kid hard charger - remind you of anyone? Say a kid from Comox BC who needed to get traded to really turn it on, and who murdered the Canadiens in the playoffs on the regular??

    So Stajan is gone?

Peca staying doesn't work under the cap.

Does JFJ's mentor know about this?

Is it just me or has Brent Sutter already signed his deathwish with the Devils when Larry Robinson, John MacLean are among your top two assistants? Robinson has been flakey in the coaching department (yes, he's led my team to the Cup) and MacLean is itching to get a head coaching gig.

Memo to Lou: I know you've wanted Sutter for sometime, but please, please, PLEASE stick with Sutter for at least ONE entire season. PLEASE!

Why? Stajan is a good little player.

Which is why the Leafs would shop him around. :)

    "Kid any good?"

    "He's the Next One"..

"Well, see what we can get for him. We've got Antropov. What more could we want?"
