Cassie Campbell didn't do play by play. She did colour.

Bring back Cuthbert! Bring back Cuthbert!

Not sure whether losing him or creating that dastardly curling schedule was the hallmark of Nancy Lee's term as CBC Sports ED.

I'm thinking Hughson will get the lead PBP assignment ...

Cuthbert has a cushy position at TSN. I doubt he would come back especially after the way he was treated.

Well ... duh ... and thanks for pointing out the obvious.

Scott Moore would be a moron to at least not try to woo him back. After all, a cushy job at TSN is one thing but lead PBP on Hockey Night in Canada is clearly another ...

Why does this seem odd. Millen doesn't do play by play. You can't stick 2 colour guys in the booth together.
IMO Millen is horrible, there still might be a spot for him but it is obvious that the number one team will be Hughson and Simpson after Cole and Neale. Now wouldn't it have been nice to have Hughson and Cuthbert as 1 and 1A. Nancy Lee could not have done a worse job a the CBC

Terrible, terrible, terrible. She could have singlehandedly destroyed the network if they'd left her in that position.

Agree tenfold on Millen being horrendous, too.

    Sirs, Madames,

If Millen had a bit of humble in him, it would help. Not his style.

    YHS, etc

No way Cuthbert goes back to CBC anytime soon. TSN gets the Grey Cup next year (farmed out to CTV but still a TSN production), and Cuthbert will call it. Between that, some NHL and the Vancouver Olympics on CTV, there's no reason to go back. Same goes for Brian Williams, Canadian version.

Brian Williams is terrible, no matter what network he's on or what sport he's doing.

I've dealt with Cuthbert many times and he's a great guy. Dumb move by CBC.

Greg Millen is a colour man, not a play-by-play guy. You'd need a play-by-play announcer paired with Neale. Of course, the CBC would have done well to keep Cuthbert. He and Hughson are the game's best.

I suppose Campbell will get more polished as they give her some time, so maybe she'd be worth another shot.

I'm still not a fan of Brian Williams, but he has been better since going to TSN and being focused in on the CFL features.
