Leafs just put out a Press release saying they knew about Bell's situation at the time of the trade.

Beef, wearing Al Hamilton's old #3, wants to shoehorn something in here. I hate Taylor. I want to punch him in the face. repeatedly.

Wow,we will have to disagree on this one, maybe its because he has been in this market for 20 years since his days on sports page that I still like him, but to want to punch him in the face. I thought this would be reserved for somebody such as Steve Kouleas. Now there's a face that could use a little forearm shiver

Oooh, if we're handing out physical violence ... a little for Maguire?

Why not. But if I get Vancouver Whitecaps highlights before I see Edmonton Oilers highlights again, I may have to drive out to Vancouver and, well, see my above post.

    I can stand Millen..barely.

I can put up with almost every single colour commentator but McGuire is absolutely the worst. I used to scream at the TV every time he came on. Now I just throw stuff. :)

i wonder if they would let me finish putting out a paper before sentancing me... not likely... sounds like some special treatment again for not even a star athlete.

    Sirs, Madames,

I asked an exec a few weeks back if Bell's salary would count against the cap if he went behind bars during the season ... no good answer.

    YHS, etc

What are the chances that Bell would face a league suspension due to this incident?

    RIP Sam Pollock

    http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/news_story.asp?ID=216214

MONTREAL (CP) - Sam Pollock, who built a hockey dynasty as vice president and general manager of the Montreal Canadiens in the 1960s and 1970s, has died. He was 81.

His death was confirmed to the RDS television network by his son, Sam Jr., on Wednesday and was noted on the Canadiens' website.

The Montreal native, born Dec. 25, 1925, won nine Stanley Cups during his tenure as general manager from 1964-65 to 1978.

Friends and colleagues said he had been ill for some time with cancer, but even they had few details.

Does it seem that ESPN.com has had more NHL related stories and mentions over the past month than they did at during the playoffs?
