    Great first part of column by AJ Walling in Daily News this week about Joe DiPenta and his moment with the Stanley Cup. He apparently asked Sid to be part of the festivities, and he "politely declined"

    (Also, for those wondering, I did get to spend some time with Lord Stanley's Cup the week before as DiPenta brought it to a work place of mine. I do have pictures of me with the Cup-poor DiPenta though, no one wanted to see him as much as they wanted to be near the Cup. PS- I did not try to touch it or drink champagne out of it.)

    Detroit does play Colorado. Four times a year.

    Is Forsberg close to signing with Colorado? I saw that Naslund has reportedly been trying to get his friend to Vancouver.

    And just because it may be one of the greatest thirty seconds in any regular season game, here's Hemsky scoring after Patrick Stefan misses the empty net. Never get sick of watching this.
