    Any idea if Clarke is advising Holmgren? 'Cause the Flyers don't need muscle. They need a goaltender.

    probably, the rumours of the Canuck interest is stronger nationally than it is locally.

    The salary dump explanation mjp gave makes sense. Who could they get to squeeze under the cap?

    Flyers might also be clearing cap space for Bouwmeester or MOrris.

    McGuire just said exactly that in regard to Bouwmeester. And from the sound of it, the Flyers would be glad to shed some current players to ease their situation.

    Wow. If the Flyers don't end up with Bouwmeester (or someone big) they may really end up hating the Upshall deal. I'm no Flyers fan, but the way Holmgren has shaped them has been outstanding up until now. Will be interesting to see how it plays out.

    Slats is upgrading the roster. I think that there's a salary cap enforced-trade coming.
