Ok, so to throw this question out there, given the pros and cons of the Lightning trading Marty St. Louis, if you're Brian Lawton, do you do it?

As talented as he is, I can't imagine the Wild get anything great for him unless someone gets really crazy.

if you could bring someone else in to make the trade for them. This group shouldn't be allowed to set this franchise back any further.

    Details on the Guerin deal.

Isles get a fifth round pick if Pittsburgh doesn't make the playoffs. If the Pens are one-and-done, Isles get a fourth rounder. If Pittsburgh gets out of the first round, Isles get a third round pick.

Oh, I don't know about that. Watching circuses are fun.

So what would they need to get to make it worth their while, especially the headache that would be the fan reaction to the move.

RDS reports Chris Neil to Florida.

He brings piss-and-vinegar and playoff experience to a team that could use both.

Does this move indicate that Bouwmeester isn't going to be moving? It does to me, since they're adding.

Or is it moot, since they're looking for players that can help them immediately if they move him?

Yeah, I wouldn't touch him. Guy is a cancer and you don't know if he's ever going to be healthy. His biggest asset was his speed and that may be gone after the hip surgery. Plus he's a UFA and if you can't get a long-term deal done, you're screwed.

I never thought Bouwmeester was on the block, baring a can't refuse offer. the team is in the thick of the playoff chase and NEEDS to make the playoffs NOW, next year be damned. Panthers are buyers and not sellers this year.
