    Yes, get a good coach who's on his way up instead
    of a retread or, worse, a retread who's on his way down.

    Kirby Smart is a good example of "Good."
    Urban Meyer, too, but he's also a cautionary tale.

    No joke, Will Rogers is re-entering portal. So maybe he follows DeBoer to Alabama.

    The only tangible thing the Bama has over the Washington gig is that it is the ONLY game in town. You aren't competing with three pro teams in the market for attention. Of course, there may be a little bit of a downside to that too.

    Bama is always the biggest thing going here. Thing is that when things are going bad, like, say, a two loss season or a season where they don't reach number one, all the crazies come out. When things are worse than that it's a living hell.

    Plus - the SEC is an easier ride than playing a Big 10 sked from the West Coast.

    Indeed. Three Eastern time zone roadies for UDub next fall, plus another game at Iowa. If they scratch out a top 2 finish, back on the plane to Indy.
